Happy Holidays - Blizzard Style

Hopefully everyone had a Merry Christmas.  Tim and I, like many others were snowed in for the holiday.  It will definetly make for a memorable 1st Christmas as a married couple.  So far the reports say we have had 19" plus and the interstates are still closed.  We did manage to make it out to Tim's parents early Christmas Eve day to celebrate.  The boys drove the snowmobiles out and I followed with the truck.  We then took Geoff and Vanessa out to ride and sled later in the day.

Christmas Day was pretty quiet.  We spent some quality time together before gathering with a few friends Christmas night to do a little snowmobiling.  Six hours later, we came home.

Did I mention one of our friends got stuck in a huge drift (at least up to Tim's waist).  It only took over an hour to dig out.

Happy 30th Birthday Tim!

Happy Birthday Tim!  I am so thankful to have found such a wonderful man to call my husband and soon to be father of our baby.  I always know that he will be there to make to me smile and take care of me.  I look forward to many more happy days with him.  I love you!

Here are just a few pictures to take you down memory lane!

The Catch Up Post

It's been a while since I posted.  We have been keeping quiet busy the last few weeks.

Halloween was fun.  We carved pumpkins the night before and made pumpkin seeds.  I cooked a pumpkin the next day and froze it to make pumpkin pie out of in the future.  I spent Halloween day scrapbooking with my sister-in-law Lindsay and Tim went to a cattle show with his brothers.  We headed up to the bars for a little while to enjoy the costume party.  I am not quiet sure what either of us were but Tim did have a good time scaring people because they couldn't figure out who he was.

We have had a couple more doctor appointments.  We had our ultrasound and got to see the little one.  No, we didn't find out what it is.  We did get lots of pictures of its feet though, as it was busy kicking them.  Everything looked good from what they can see so far.

We went home the first weekend in November.  It was a good trip, except for the ride down, being carsick for 4.5 hours is no fun.  I am not sure who it was worse for me or Tim having to listen to me complain.  We enjoyed the great weather and helped Dad bring home calves and get the combine running.

Other than that we are busy playing musical rooms in our house.  Which reminds how much I hate moving things and leaves me wondering where I got so much stuff.  Tim is anxious to get a start on the baby's room so that will be the next project after we get everything organized.

Have a Great Week!

A Cold Week

Winter has arrived. It snowed started snowing last Friday and has snowed on and off this past week. However, there hasn't been enough snow to get the snowmobile out :( It has melted within a few hours of arrival.

We haven't done to much lately. We did go out for dinner and a movie at the cheap theater on Friday. Tim was happy to see I didn't pick a chic flick and enjoyed The Hangover. Our weekend was quiet boring as I had to work. Tim did brave the cold and went and watched our nephew Geoff play flag football. Even though I did hear he and Vanessa had some good bonding time in the car with a bag of candy :)

All is well with the baby. We went to the doctor yesterday and everything was good. Tim isn't to impressed with the 2 pounds I lost but I am sure I will gain it back. We also got our flu shots and scheduled the ultrasound for our next appointment. It should align with when they get the H1N1 shots so I can get that all done at the same time.

Have a good weekend!

Finally A Real Post

It's a few months later and I am finally going to get around to actually using this blog. I am slowly trying to cross things off of my to do list and I finally got to this one. Things have been going pretty well around our house. A couple weekends ago we headed out to the hills for a surprise birthday party for Tim's Dad, Jerry. We had a good time at the cabins, 4-Wheeling and going to Deadwood. And we even managed to get a picture of the whole family. Other than that we have been keeping busy with work.

As most of you know we are expecting in April and things have been well. We got to hear the heartbeat at the last appointment. I had been feeling quiet well until last week, now it seems my favorites are Sprite and Mentos. I can't say that feeling sick is much fun and I would gladly take being tired over this any day. The big questions seem to be when are we having an Ultrasound (20 weeks, so in about 2 months). And the million dollar question is what are you having? I know we are disappointing some of you but we are not going to find out until the baby is born. We feel that this is one good surprise that is worth waiting for.

Yes, that is the front of our house. We are going to have every kid in town trick or treating at our house now. Which means I better buy some candy. We won't say whose idea this was cause that is still up for debate. With the thought of Halloween, we can tell the fall is here. It is quiet breezy and cold out. However, I am not disappointed because that means my hayfever is over for the year!

Have a Great Week!
