A Little of This and That

It's hard to believe that Kane's first birthday is only a month away and boy has be changed in the last year.  He has grown into such a character.  We are onstantly amazed by his actions.  He is now crawling around like crazy and jabbering up a storm.  The words he knows are "Travis", "light", "hot", "balloon" and "moo".  He still shows us that he is "so big" and will clap.  His new favorite is to point and say "that".  He is such a blessing and his giggle can brighten your day.  Tim has finished up his early winter run of farm shows, spent some time out on the snowmobile, and his team placed 2nd in their division at the State Dart Tournament.

Happy Boy!

I can clap!

Just being my silly self.

I love my baths!

Silly Faces

This ones for Daddy & Uncle Travis.

Christmas ... A Little Late

The holidays are over and Tim's in Denver for the National Western Stock Show.  Kane and I are having some quality bonding time.  I am sure Tim will be amazed by all the new things that he is doing, how fast he moves, and the new teeth that are working there way in.

Christmas was good.  We celebrated early with Tim's family as we made the decision that we were going to spend a few days at my parents' in Nebraska for Christmas.  Kane got spoiled with plenty of new toys, clothes, and other gifts from the ones that love him.  Of course when you plan to travel somewhere this time of year there is always the chance of snow as was the case again this year.  However, the snow that fell in South Dakota was no where to be seen in southern Nebraska.  Quiet a change from last year when we were all snowed in.  All in the holidays were wonderful.

Its Been a Long Time Coming

Wow! It's hard to believe how much can happen in a little over  6 months.  I haven't been very good about updating my blog.  Things have been busy and it's great.  Kane is growing like crazy, he is about three times as big as he was in the last photos and just as entertaining as can be.  I have a new job and Tim continues to keep busy.  As I am reviewing my photos I hope to update you with a lot of the important events that have happened in the last few months.  It is hard to believe that the holidays are upon us already.  We hope everyone is doing well and we look forward to catching up.

Kane Francis Grace

Kane Francis Grace had arrived.  He was born on March 30, 2010 at 3:18 am.  He weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long.

After being on bed rest for a week with high blood pressure we went to the hospital to be induced at 4 pm on Monday.  Little did we know labor would go so fast.  I was informed by the nurses that it isn't suppose to be that fast with your first one, but I am not complaining.  They say I was in active for around 4 hours and 45 minutes.  Kane was ready to make his way into the world and all went well.

The Nursery

Here are a few pictures of the nursery.  I am sure it will get a few more decorations soon.

Baby Shower

Yes, I got a little behind on my blog.  So my goal today is to get somewhat caught up.  :)

A few weekends ago my wonderful sister-in-laws threw me a baby shower.  It was great to see everyone and we got some great gifts.  We are so thankful for all of the wonderful friends and family that we have.  Below are a few pictures from the day.

We have a Baby ....... Calf!

Probably not the exciting news some of you are waiting for but for others this might be almost as important.  This cute little girl was born March 2nd.  The cow wasn't so excited about me wanting to take pictures.  Yes, I know it isn't Hereford.  I guess I have to give a little somewhere, however there will be some in the future.

Baby Poll

What do you think you are having?  Have you thought about names?  When is your due date?  These seem to be the popular questions lately.  And the answers well we are having a baby :) and I really have no strong feelings towards if it is a boy or girl.  Names, we have thought about them but there isn't anything set in stone.  And my due date is April 5th.

Now we want to know you think, so we created a baby poll to see what everyone else is thinking.  You can guess the birth date, time of birth, gender, weight, length, and even the baby's name.

All you have to do is click here or go to www.babyguessinggame.com (Game ID:  TCGraceBaby09) and enter your guesses.

We look forward to seeing your predictions and who is the closest!  We will be sure to post the winner after the baby gets here.  I will try my best to get it done in a timely manner.

The New Year

We started the New Year out by celebrating Christmas at my parents' in Nebraska.  It was good to get to see everyone after all of the snow and to be able to stay down there for a few days with the long weekend.  However, I think Tim was most excited for Grandma's grasshopper pie.

Tim left for the National Western Stock Show last Wednesday right as the snow storm hit.  It proved to be a little longer trip than normal, as they had to stay the night in York, NE due to the bad roads.  Luckily we were able to move up my ultrasound appointment so he could go with me before he left.  Everything looks good.  The baby weighs about 2 lbs 4 oz. and is right on track.

Hope everyone is enjoying the nicer weather this week.  It would be nice if would stay around for a little while.

Happy Holidays - Blizzard Style

Hopefully everyone had a Merry Christmas.  Tim and I, like many others were snowed in for the holiday.  It will definetly make for a memorable 1st Christmas as a married couple.  So far the reports say we have had 19" plus and the interstates are still closed.  We did manage to make it out to Tim's parents early Christmas Eve day to celebrate.  The boys drove the snowmobiles out and I followed with the truck.  We then took Geoff and Vanessa out to ride and sled later in the day.

Christmas Day was pretty quiet.  We spent some quality time together before gathering with a few friends Christmas night to do a little snowmobiling.  Six hours later, we came home.

Did I mention one of our friends got stuck in a huge drift (at least up to Tim's waist).  It only took over an hour to dig out.

Happy 30th Birthday Tim!

Happy Birthday Tim!  I am so thankful to have found such a wonderful man to call my husband and soon to be father of our baby.  I always know that he will be there to make to me smile and take care of me.  I look forward to many more happy days with him.  I love you!

Here are just a few pictures to take you down memory lane!
